Questions

What the workbench is, what it costs, and what it does not try to be.

What is RunbookHQ?
A workbench for scripts, runbooks, standards, and reports. One organization-wide list, tagged and searchable, with live updates. Editors can search it over MCP. Desktop confirms before a local script run.
How is this different from Hudu?
Hudu documents what you have. RunbookHQ is the procedure, the baseline, and the local confirm. It is not a password vault, asset inventory, or client catalog. Import from Hudu when you want a runbook; keep the source URL in doc_ref.
What does it cost?
Free is one organization, five editors, and read MCP. Team is $29 / org / mo ($24 annual). Scale is $49 / org / mo ($41 annual). No AI credits. Checkout is off until Stripe is connected.
What is MCP here?
A personal token on Account → MCP connects Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, or Codex to https://runbookhq.app/api/mcp. The token has the same access you have. The hosted server never runs scripts or generator code.
Where do run records live?
They do not. Following a runbook is browser-local: ticks and filled variables stay in localStorage on that computer. Script executions are audited as activity (interpreter, host, exit code), not joined to a run.
Is there a desktop app?
Yes. The same workbench in a window — tray, native menus, and automatic updates. Desktop confirms before a local script run or picking report sources. Installers are on /download.
